When I down loaded the pictures from my camera there were 99 pictures on it. I didn't think I had taken that many of the gingerbread houses. Come to find out, Zoe took the camera off my desk and while I was gone and documented various things around the apartment like the rug, Teac taking a bath, the pictures on the wall... and a lot of pictures of her. We couldn't figure out who had taken them. We asked, and until I showed her the pictures she couldn't tell us. We were worried some strange person was in the house for the photo shoot. Come to find out that she figured out how to make the camera take pictures of her all by herself. Zoe definately has the mechanical gene. She changes bateries in their toys all by herself, gets me the right kind of screw driver when I ask, has always wanted to help Papi build computers, and aparently even knows how to use the camera. Posted by Picasa

I forgot to post this picture of Zoe's soccer group. She was on the "Yellow Sting Bees". Some of them flew off before we could take the picture. There were only two teams- black and yellow- but the kids had a great time. Posted by Picasa

This is Zoe and her friend Julene. She only speaks french and a little chinese but the two of them have a great time. They could often be seen running down the soccer field holding hands. This was taken at the school Christmas performance. Posted by Picasa

Since we had left-over candy and frosting I decided to make my first batch of gingerbread cookies. We had a lot of fun decorating them. Posted by Picasa

I got to go with Marlo and her class on a field trip to Du Fu's Cottage. They built a replica of his home on an acheological sight they believe dates back to the early Tang Dynasty (~400 BC). It has beautiful gardens. Unfortunately we went on a very cold and rainy day. Posted by Picasa

We built our houses after a nativity FHE lesson at the home of our good friends the Schmids. Posted by Picasa

Thanks to the newly opened Ikea, we bought the gingerbread house pieces and then glued them together and decorated them with our own candy and frosting. Posted by Picasa

This is Marlo's soccer team that I coached. My assistant coach Jackie was sick for the last day and pictures. Our team won every game- fun to win, but even more fun was what great kids they are. Two from France, one from Sweeden, two from the US, and one from China. A really mixed bag. Posted by Picasa
