1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. powdered cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 c. butter

  1. Heat oven to 350° F.
  2. Peel the apples and slice them thinly
  3. Put the apple slices into a shallow 1 1/2 quart casserole with cover
  4. Sprinkle them with water and set aside
  5. Mix together the sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg
  6. Add the butter
  7. Add the flour
  8. Stir in the oatmeal and mix well
  9. Sprinkle the topping over the apples. Do not mix together
  10. Cover the casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes
